the economy of japan 授業用スピチ原稿

According to a survey by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 5,400 people in Japan who have no fixed address spend their nights sleeping in internet cafes.

Depressingly, many of the café dwellers, known as Net Café Refugees, are part of Japan's Lost Generation that saw their prospects hurt during the long downturn in the 1990s but are yet to benefit from the economic comeback of the last few years. Over half work casually on a day-to-day basis.

The source of the trouble, there is the relaxation of a worker dispatch system enforced in 1999.

It is very difficult to work as a regular staff now. Many young people can’t work as no-part-time staff. And almost of all them are on a low income about only 2 million yen a year. Japan still has called “an economic power” and “Total middle class society”. In truth, it’s only a myth.

But, most important of all, most people are still living by middle class values and hanging on to middle class dream.

Even part of net cafe refugees speak that oneself is middle class people.
